Financial Privacy Policy

Protecting your privacy has always been important to NewBridge Bank and our employees. We recognize the sensitive nature of your financial information, and take appropriate precautions to protect your privacy. We encourage you to read NewBridge Bank's privacy policy so you will understand what information we collect and how we use that information in order to provide our customers with a broad range of financial products and services as effectively and conveniently as possible. The following policy serves as a standard for all NewBridge Bank employees for collection, use, retention, and security of nonpublic personal information.
I. What Information We Collect
We may collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:
- Information we receive from you on applications or other forms, such as "your name, address, social security number, assets and income";
- Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates or others, such as "your account balance, payment history, parties to transactions and credit card usage";
- Information we receive from a consumer-reporting agency, such as "your credit worthiness and credit history".
II. What Information We Disclose
We are permitted by law (The Fair Credit Reporting Act) to share information about our experiences or transactions with you or your account (such as account balance and your payment history with us) with companies related to us by common ownership ("affiliates"). We also may share additional information about you or your account (such as information we receive from you on applications or other forms) with our affiliates in an effort to provide products and services to you.
If you prefer that NewBridge Bank not disclose nonpublic, personal information that we collect from you on applications or other forms (such as "your name, address, social security number, assets and income") with our affiliates, you may opt-out of that disclosure. Additionally, in the event of the death of one party of a joint account, NewBridge Bank may disclose account (nonpublic personal) information to the agent, executor, or personal representative of the deceased account holder. If you prefer that NewBridge Bank not disclose the above referenced account information in the event of the death of one party of a joint account, you may opt-out of that disclosure. Please allow 30 days to process any request for opt-out.
You may only call to opt-out yourself. You may not opt-out for a joint account holder.
If you have already submitted a request to opt-out of information sharing (with our affiliates, and/or in the event of the death of a joint account holder) at NewBridge Bank there is no need to opt-out again.
We are also permitted under law to disclose nonpublic, personal information about you to "nonafffiliated third parties" (i.e. third parties that are not members of our corporate family) in certain circumstances.
For example, we may disclose nonpublic, personal information about you to such third parties to assist us in servicing your loan account with us; to government entities in response to subpoenas: and to credit bureaus. We do not disclose any nonpublic, personal information about you to any other third parties, except as permitted by law.
III. Authorized Sharing-Joint Marketing
We choose very carefully the companies that provide support services for us (the imprinting of checks, for example) as well as financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements. We may disclose to those companies the information we collect, as previously described in this notice. Those companies are contractually required to adhere to our standards of information security and confidentiality. They are not allowed to use our customer information for any purpose other than the intended service.
You do not have a right to opt-out of the disclosure of this information.
IV. Our Security Procedures
We also take steps to safeguard customer information. We restrict access to your personal and account information to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. All NewBridge Bank employees are governed by a code of business conduct that includes the responsibility to protect the confidentiality of customers' financial and other personal information. We also maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with state and federal standards to guard your nonpublic, personal information.
We encourage you, our customer, to partner with us in safeguarding your information. NewBridge Bank's commitment to protecting your customer information is a priority that impacts our daily actions. We encourage you to be just as serious and to follow steps to protect against unauthorized access to your funds and personal information.
If you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive customer, we will adhere to the privacy policies and practices described in this notice.
Note: Medical information (such as information related to your past or present physical health or condition) obtained as part of an application for an insurance product is shared only with those in the NewBridge Bank organization who require access to this information in order to process the application.
