GREENSBORO, NC – In spring 2009, NewBridge Bank will take full-service banking to a new level when it opens a branch in the stylish Center Pointe, a multiple mixed-use complex that has prompted public interest since the luxurious downtown Greensboro project was first announced.

The NewBridge Bank branch will be located next to the main entrance of the 17-story Center Pointe, in view of the dynamic water creations, concert pavilion, and winding walkways of Center City Park. The office will have five employees and occupy 2,000 square feet of newly remodeled space. The NewBridge Bank lobby and offices will be designed to complement the "urban living" setting of Center Pointe, which combines 100 luxury condominiums, offices, and commercial space.

After enjoying a contemporary banking experience, customers at the NewBridge Bank branch can take a stroll across the street to Center City Park. Just a stone's throw away are some of downtown's most noteworthy dining establishments, retail shops, and arts and entertainment venues. The new branch is also within walking distance of NewBridge Bank Park, home of the Greensboro Grasshoppers.

Beasley also said that the Center Pointe branch will further solidify NewBridge Bank's presence downtown, as well as throughout Greensboro, where it is headquartered.

Center Pointe is a $40 million renovation on the northwest corner of North Elm Street and Friendly Avenue. It is the innovation of developer Roy Carroll, the founder of The Carroll Companies and Park View Development Corp. Recently, Carroll announced that he will team up with Mitchell Nicks, a popular local chef, to open an upscale restaurant – Avenue – on the first floor of Center Pointe in spring 2009. In a few days, Center Pointe will welcome the first of its new tenants who will call Center Pointe home.

The branch opening is pending approval by banking regulators.
