NewBridge Bank to Open Full-Service Banking Office in Downtown Raleigh
June 8, 2012
GREENSBORO, N.C. – NewBridge Bank will open a full-service banking office in a historic, six-story building at the corner of Hargett and Fayetteville Streets in the heart of downtown Raleigh. NewBridge Bank currently operates a loan production office in Raleigh and will transition its existing, veteran banking team to the new office, located at 133 Fayetteville Street, when it opens at the end of this year.
“The Triangle is one of the best markets in the Southeast, if not the United States,” said David P. Barksdale, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Banking Officer for NewBridge Bank. “We are pleased with the progress of our Triangle loan production office and are excited about this next chapter in NewBridge Bank’s expansion efforts.”
The new office will have 4,500 square feet of newly remodeled space. The NewBridge Bank lobby and offices will be designed to complement the professional, urban setting of downtown Raleigh.
“It's a real pleasure to have NewBridge Bank on Raleigh's most prestigious corner,” said Greg Hatem, Chief Executive Officer of Empire Properties. “We're thrilled, in large part because it is NewBridge Bank, and also because it’s community banks like them that are leading the way out of this recession and making America's businesses strong."
Jonathan Taylor, Senior Vice President and Triangle Area Executive, will continue to lead the Bank’s presence in the Triangle market from the new downtown location. Rod Webb, Senior Vice President and Raleigh City Executive will continue serving the commercial banking needs of business clients while Monica Navarro, Assistant Vice President and currently a Business Banker in the Raleigh loan production office, will serve as the Branch Manager.
With over 16 years of banking experience, Taylor is a highly qualified commercial banker and an accomplished leader. In his role, he will develop new client relationships in the Triangle and surrounding communities. He will also be responsible for developing and managing the loan portfolio for the Region.
Webb, also a seasoned commercial banking professional, has 19 years of experience. More specifically, in his previous role at a local Triangle community bank, he helped establish brand and community presence for several new offices. Working with Taylor, he will be responsible for managing the banking relationships of a portfolio of commercial clients located in the Greater Raleigh Area.
Navarro has 11 years of banking experience with a strong background in sales and client service. She will be responsible for developing new personal and small business relationships in the Triangle while also managing the retail banking operations of the downtown office. She will work with the Bank’s multiple business partners – including Treasury Services, Private Banking, Mortgage Banking and Wealth Management – to handle the diverse financial needs of NewBridge Bank’s clients.
“This will be a very unique office designed for a thriving, downtown business community,” said Taylor. “Monica, Rod and their teams will bring a level of client service and financial expertise that professionals and business owners require in today’s fast-paced market. Furthermore, the office will have the format, look and atmosphere of an exclusive financial partner, yet the comprehensive products and central location to support the entire community.”
